This time of year, everyone is taking pictures of their Christmas tree. You may think it’s not possible to get a really great picture of your tree with your iphone, but I am here to tell you- you CAN!!

It even works for sleepy spouses and puppies on a Sunday afternoon
There are some things you can do to turn those phone pictures into something you are super proud of, and might even choose to use for your Christmas cards. You can absolutely take amazing iPhone Christmas pictures!
-
Use the Portrait setting on your iPhone!
It takes a little extra time, but the quality of the pics are worth it!
-
Get low.
Hold your phone on the ground and angling up to get the full view of the tree from an interesting perspective.
-
Turn all of the lights off...except the ones on the tree!
-
Try taking pictures during the day. (note: daylight peeking through the window!)
-
Fill the frame! You can eliminate clutter in the background, and bring the focus to just the tree, and your subject by filling the frame with lights, part of the tree, and your subject.
-
Use an app to edit your pictures! Always! Piccollage, Snapchat, Instagram, and Photoshop Express are just a few that I LOVE to use!
